yes we went to Gettysburg in 80 to 90 degree heat but it was totally worth it!
While in Gettysburg, we went to the Gettysburg cemetery. While we were there, there were graves from World 1 and 2 but the soldiers who had died from the battle of Gettysburg would only have the name, an unknown, or just a number. It was really sad. Nearly 40,000 men died and we did not see those many graves, but there was more to the cemetery but like I said, it was very hot that day.
Then we went on an observation tower where we saw the gorgeous view of the field.
Then we went to Little Round Top which General Meade sent General Warren, an engineer, to see if it was a good spot to be in and it was...
General Joshua Chamblerain from Maine, a Christian led a bayonet charge on Little Round Top and they won!
Then we saw the PA memorial, where CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, (Fox was in town) were looking for Sarah Palin, which she was in town not at the beautiful memorial where you could go on top and look out again. I wish I could live there....I actually want to do an internship next Summer but I don't think they'll accept me because of my paralegal degree, which speaking of that the community college I applied to got back to me and they said I can take either science or math, which I'm taking biology in the Fall, so it's all good but I have to get accepted and of course...talk to the parents....
Sunday night, I went to the volleyball night at my friends house and even though I stink at v-ball I had fun anyway. I played twice but I spent most of the night on the trampoline with a bunch of my friends. It was a lot of fun but I think I made of fool of myself with my one guy friend because oh my goodness he's great with kids! Ah! I know I've told you that I've liked this and that guy, so....
I'm keeping this guy a secret because I never ever see him that much because he goes to school far away and also works A LOT! But I always get excited to talk to him. He also wants to go into the mission field but I cannot find any paralegal-related jobs in the mission field which has me concerned because this guy is great but what do I choose? If I date him, I want him to be the guy I marry. I want to date one more guy, then I want to marry, so....a job or marriage? Praying if God does call me in the mission field whether married or not that I can find a paralegal-related job...praying, praying, and praying....I don't think the missionary guy is going to ask me out...we don't see each other that much....
I was talking to this girl and she asked if I was dating anybody...oh no! Matchmaker, matchmaker! I wouldn't mind if it was with the missionary guy....praying, praying, praying,
anyway I need to do chores, then when Rachel comes home, we're wedding planning! Woot woot! =]
