Hearing a slow Russian Violin.....

hi!

I am currently reading "Anna Karenina" and I love it! I thought I'd hate it because Russian literature is sooo slow (like Dr. Zhivago) and so complicated, but I can understand why critics love it!

It is beautifully written and even though I've only read 7% of 864 pages, I have yet to reach Anna.

An interesting question was raised by Anna's brother Stepan. He just had an affair with his children's governess because he's in a loveless marriage. Levin, a good friend of his, is madly in love with Stepan's sister in law, Kitty. However, Stepan, is trying to justify his action for having an affair, but Levin tells him this:

"It's like eating dinner but stealing rolls from a bakery"

Levin seems to be the only moral correct person right now. He refuses to have an affair even though he's a bachelor. Excited to read more!

Anyway, I am back to work tonight. 4-10. I have decided to apply to where my mom works. It's close and I know I will get at least 29 hours, which is fine by me. Compared to 13 hours a week, I'll take it!

Then I work tomorrow. The last Sunday I worked was three months ago after Stef dropped me off because we went to DC the day before. It'll feel weird. Then I work Monday, then no work till Friday.

I hope to finish the novel by at least Friday. I was reading last night to put me to sleep but it actually kept me up longer than I wanted it to!

Anyway, need to finish chores and get ready for work!

Bye, ya'll---Faith.
