Discombobulated

Hi!

Well...wow!

I watched 2001: A Space Odessey...and I actually liked it!

For the most part, anyway, lol. I say the last 20-30 minutes was a little dragging and confusing....

In the first part, it's basically about evolution; as a Christian I don't believe in evolution but of course, most of Hollywood and Sci-Fi stuff do.

It showed how the apes formed throughout time. Of course, I was surprised when people laughed there was a basic example of evolution: survival of the fittest.

I believe that monkey they were all killing was probably weak, so, in order to survive, according to evolution, you kill the weakest link. In my opinion, that kind of happens during the movie when HAL (someone said he is similar to IBM) killed all those people and not letting Dave back in the ship.

If you see any sci-fi show or movie (I-Robot) of course the basic lesson is: when you screw with technology, it'll screw you over as well.

Even in the book, I-Robot, Assimov thought there were going to be fully functioning robots in 2005. If you know anything about I-Robot with Will Smith, you know that's not the case!

The other lesson is always never letting technology take control of your life. However, as society today, we have done that especially with cell phones.

It has gotten to the point where people will text in class! I will say once I text BUT it was a night class and I thought we were going to be let out early. Silly me! But I have never texted since.

It was especially hard last night to stay awake because I keep having horrible coughing spells where I feel like I am choking and I looked like I had a crying fest.

I have this horrible tickle in my throat and I hope it goes away soon because I had to leave both classes (last night's and today's) TWICE!

Even the cough drops don't work! I have to resort to water!!! NOOOO!!!!

But, I am enjoying Legal Research. While most people find it boring, I love it!

Most of my classes are going well. Evidence is kind out of my element but I am around Criminal Justice majors so I hope I can get a better feel of it.

So, I am off to study for a contracts quiz!

But the title is post is how I described the movie and the song Zendaya from DWTS danced from. It's from the soundtrack of Sherlock Holmes by the great Hans Zimmer! She danced an amazing Argentine Tango and received the first 10's (score: 29) of the season! There is something wrong with Len (head judge, lol)

Bye!

-Faith.
