yes we went to Gettysburg in 80 to 90 degree heat but it was totally worth it!
While in Gettysburg, we went to the Gettysburg cemetery. While we were there, there were graves from World 1 and 2 but the soldiers who had died from the battle of Gettysburg would only have the name, an unknown, or just a number. It was really sad. Nearly 40,000 men died and we did not see those many graves, but there was more to the cemetery but like I said, it was very hot that day.
Then we went on an observation tower where we saw the gorgeous view of the field.
Then we went to Little Round Top which General Meade sent General Warren, an engineer, to see if it was a good spot to be in and it was...
General Joshua Chamblerain from Maine, a Christian led a bayonet charge on Little Round Top and they won!
Then we saw the PA memorial, where CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, (Fox was in town) were looking for Sarah Palin, which she was in town not at the beautiful memorial where you could go on top and look out again. I wish I could live there....I actually want to do an internship next Summer but I don't think they'll accept me because of my paralegal degree, which speaking of that the community college I applied to got back to me and they said I can take either science or math, which I'm taking biology in the Fall, so it's all good but I have to get accepted and of course...talk to the parents....
Sunday night, I went to the volleyball night at my friends house and even though I stink at v-ball I had fun anyway. I played twice but I spent most of the night on the trampoline with a bunch of my friends. It was a lot of fun but I think I made of fool of myself with my one guy friend because oh my goodness he's great with kids! Ah! I know I've told you that I've liked this and that guy, so....
I'm keeping this guy a secret because I never ever see him that much because he goes to school far away and also works A LOT! But I always get excited to talk to him. He also wants to go into the mission field but I cannot find any paralegal-related jobs in the mission field which has me concerned because this guy is great but what do I choose? If I date him, I want him to be the guy I marry. I want to date one more guy, then I want to marry, so....a job or marriage? Praying if God does call me in the mission field whether married or not that I can find a paralegal-related job...praying, praying, and praying....I don't think the missionary guy is going to ask me out...we don't see each other that much....
I was talking to this girl and she asked if I was dating anybody...oh no! Matchmaker, matchmaker! I wouldn't mind if it was with the missionary guy....praying, praying, praying,
anyway I need to do chores, then when Rachel comes home, we're wedding planning! Woot woot! =]

sunshine (FINALLY!)
Finally a day without rain. We had a tornado in the county! Several hail storms and very strong lightening streaks. So, it's nice not to have any rain!
Today is a beautiful and hot day to have volleyball. I'm going mostly to see my friends. You see I'm only going to one loft. Because the retreat and the Friday afterward is training school, but I will go next year! Besides, there's the winter retreat. The first loft in July is two days before my birthday! I will be twenty so I won't be a teenager anymore!
I'm praying about transferring to a community college that has dorms. It would be helpful instead of commuting all the time!
After all my dealings with my ex and my busy schedule with Romans 12 and camps, then I start school with a part time job, I won't have time! Who can find the time to date?! I can't!
I'm thinking I won't date for a really longgggggggg time because this community college I'm looking at has three degrees and I want all three! I haven't told my parents my plan. But I'll be happy with the paralegal degree. Plus I don't think you have to take math which I stink mostly because I freeze when I do it. It's in my head, just not my fingers. I'm praying that the case, then I'll only have English 1 and 2 (yes, I struggle as a student but I'm overcoming it!) I'm praying it'll work out, then I can live on my own and still hang out with my friends. It'll be hard but I can overcome it!
Okay off to read till I go and play volleyball! Love you all! Faith.

arrr!
hi!
I spoke at a church and it went really well. I got $200.00 so I'm blessed my support is going well! My Dad being a pastor did a sermon then we went to lunch with friends and had fun with them. I really like the church. If I was closer, I would go there but I like the LOFT church a lot. So, anyway I haven't been to the LOFT in awhile so I'm looking forward to going there this Friday.
In other news, tonight I'm seeing pirates 4 with Stef and Carrie. Carrie says she wants to drive but the movie theatre is in a city and I know how to get there but I've never driven there. So, this should be interesting.
He'll probably read this, I'm not sure though, but I've decided to delete my ex boyfriend. He's been harassing me by taking pictures of my house, insulting me and even insulting my blog! (though I did call him jerkface LOL) I realized I couldn't be friends with him anymore. I know a lot of people who can be friends with their ex but I read this article on being friends with your ex and he said that "it's not the same anymore because they have a part of you" so basically you can't be friends with your ex because there is some chemistry which non existent on my part with Josh.
I don't really want to date at the moment but in the future. I realize I have so much going on with CEF and Loft that I really have time, then I start school, hopefully find a small part time job, and LOFT!
I asked a friend who is a pastor's kid and a pastor about nepotism. He hasn't responded back yet, so, we'll see what happens.
Idk if I told you the best man in my sis's wedding is getting married? Well, they're getting married in June! It's going really, really fast, lol. Rachel and Stephen are in it. Rachel has been helping the bride out a lot. Anyway, off to eat lunch and get ready for tonight! Faith.

"somewhere only we know" (very original LOL)
hi!
Well, I have three B's, an A and a C totally into: 3.0 GPA! if I had gotten an B in anthropology (she did grade unfairly once because I said I didn't believe in magic) I would have an 3.5 making the Dean's list. I'm praying next semester goes well because I want to join the national honor society for paralegal and I need a 3.5 in gen eds and a 3.25 for paralegal courses. I have to take bio, math, eng, a paralegal (excited about it!) and two online typing courses. I've been studying eng and math, and I'm trying to borrow a biology book from a friend. As for paralegal and typing courses, I can't really study for it.
Rachel and Stephen graduated! They are doing so, so well! Stephen got an award and Rachel has an excellent internship! So= amazing.
My friends Caleb (best man in Stephen and Rach's wedding) and Jen just got engaged today. Rach and Stephen thought he'd buy the ring over the summer but wow, time flies! I use to have a crush on him, but nothing serious.
Speaking of crushes, I have one on Stephen's cousin Karl. I met him on Rach and Stephen's graduation and then we had a party at Stephen's house. I was excited to meet him because Karl is Rachel's favourite cousin. He is really funny, but he is a Godly man, kind, devoted, a kid magnet and when he loves, he loves freely. He has his undergraduate degree in church music and is going for his masters in Texas, so I won't see him till the wedding, which makes me sad. So maybe he'll meet somebody down there or I'll meet somebody, I'm not sure. But I wouldn't mind if he would want to date me. He's somebody I know I would want to ask me out. The only downside is he refuses to cook but if we dated I would make him. However, he dated a girl nearly two and a half years ago and was madly in love with her, then she broke up with two years ago and now two years later, she's engaged. So, he's avoiding girls. But I don't need to date him right away. I'm not even 20 and he's only 22 so it's all good. I want to talk to him, get to know him more, but I'm giving him his space. Praying the best comes out of this.
No loft or bible study or game night. Grace and Darren had their baby, a girl! Marianne which is a good old fashioned name. So, we have one more bible study but it probably won't be till June. Loft is not scheduled this week or next week because there will be a concert! My friends were suppose to have game night but it got canceled and I would have went but my mom wanted to go for a belated mother's day mean. We were suppose to go geo-caching but nobody was interested and we're moving the CEF office that day anyway. I'm going through friend withdraw.
I went to a bridal shower that I wasn't invited to the wedding. The girl who invited me (one of the bridesmaids) is still trying to set me up with her brother (read earlier posts) but he DOES NOT like me, I repeat, DOES NOT!
Well, it was fun anyway.
Tomorrow, I'm going to a library to find Louisa May Alcott books including: An old fashioned girl, eight cousins and rose in bloom. She's one of my favourite American offers.
American:
LMA
Lemony Snicket
Tamara (forgetting her last name right now)
Madelaine L'Engle
F. Scott Fitzgerald
Ernest Hemingway
Canadian:
Lucy Maude Montgomery
British:
CS Lewis
JRR Tolkien
Jane Austen
Elizabeth Gaskell
Charles Dickens
Bronte sisters
Tracy Chevalier
So, yeah, books are amazing!
Besides the run to the library, we're going out to a local Italian restaurant for mom's belated mother's day gift. Rach, Stephen, Dad, and myself are going along. Then we're watching Tangled! :D
Sounds like a good day? I have a busy weekend ahead!
Goodnight ya'll. I think I'm going to read some Tolkien. I'm at page 60 for Hobbit so I want to get at least 100.
Goodnight and God bless! Faith.

Tasty Tuesday: will explain
Hi!
I have a paper to finish. Three pages down, two more to go. Then final tomorrow! Wow, time flies, I remember sitting the first day of class waiting for Professor Green to come!
I can't wait till Friday. My summer starts after the final so it's all good. I use to complain how much of a life I don't have but now I am so busy especially over the weekend!
The reason I call it Tasty Tuesday is because Stephen's one aunt is making food for their wedding reception and sounds yummy :D
Well, I need to chores and homework. See you all later! Faith.

just another manic monday during finals!
hi!
I have a research paper due tomorrow I need to finish then a final Wednesday then woot I'm done!
It's weird not going to school then I start summer. I'm taking a little break from schoolwork. I'm taking three classes that I know will be a challenge so I want to practice all three. I don't know what to expect for intro to paralegal studies. Maybe easy, hard? I don't know.
I'm praying to find an apartment or room in the town where my school is, then my commute to the main campus won't be that long. I know I can find a small-part time job there.
I also want to look for a room or apartment in Hamburg because it's the perfect in between Loft and school! There are many places to work too. Anyway, praying, praying, and praying.
I would have gone midnight bowling Friday but my sis graduates at 11 am Saturday and we have to be there at 9 am. Then we go to her fiance's house for a Chinese food graduation! We come home, I speak at the church for CEF then...I wonder what's next ;)
My dad says I've had a list of boyfriends but I haven't dated since Josh broke up with me! I like this guy but I don't know if he likes me because he wants a girlfriend but I don't know if I'm his type of girl. I didn't like him when I first met him but I've gotten to really know at loft, game nights, and bible studies. I think I realized that I liked him when we went sledding which was back in January or February. I do have an earlier post about that. I've been fighting mostly because I want my next relationship to marriage minded and I know he wants to be married but I don't think to me. He's a great guy who loves the Lord, is involved with his church, he's one of my closet guy friends (him, Travis, and Joseph I know them the most) I know he'd be a great father too, but I don't know if he likes because my one friend Eric said when a guy likes a girl he'll ask her out. Also I read somewhere that if a guy doesn't move Heaven and Earth for you then he doesn't like you. So, praying, praying, and praying.
Anyway, I am content with my life and if I don't date him right away or at all that's just God wants for my life.
I need to get work done! :D can't wait for summer to come!

geek. vs non.geek vs. being a guy
hi!
I wanted to tell you my geek tendencies:
1.Read books...for fun!
2. Listen to Adele, one republic, classical music, 70's rock.
3. prefers movies like old classics and cult classics for instance Monty python and the holy grail.
4. Drinks milk without cookies!
5. Likes shows like Big bang theory and psych
6. Not very athletic. Not very good hiker or climb up hills.
7. Rain is for the win!
8. Dark hot chocolate is great.
9. not good dancer
10. new technology is beast
11. I also don't like it when movie adaptions stray too apart from the book.
12. play games like killer bunnies( you have to have a wacky sense of humor to play that game), apple to apples, clue, scrabble(I make up my own words, LOL)
13. I get excited for art and history museums and historical sites.
14. I like to talk about religion and politics.
15. Geocaching is fun!
16. I have four pair of crocks
17. I still drink capri suns.
18. I have an non electric scooter.
19. I miss match my socks...on PURPOSE!
20. I like wearing hippie skirts and dresses
21. I like broadway shows and sight/sound theatre
22. I had fun at the renaissance fair
Non-geek tendencies:
1. I like jeeps
2. I like NCIS regular and Los Angeles
3. Road trips are amazing
4. Doing crazy things yay
5. Snowboarding and soccer are so much fun!
6. I like watching basketball
7. I like going to concerts of all sorts
8. Fast cars are great!
9. I like action packed movies
10. I work with kids
11. I like regular music of all types
12. still debating whether or not I want a motorcycle
13. I like soda
14. Chocolate can be my best friend but also can be my worst enemy
15. Apple pie. 'Nough said.
16. I work with kids.
Anyway, I had fun at bible study with Ben R. Grace, Darren, Stef, and Jason. We've going over Philippians and it's a great book. Then we played killer bunnies, which I'm thinking of buying. Like I said, have a wacky sense of humor will help because this is wacky, lol.
I can't wait to live on my own because my mom and dad won't have to stay up for me. I'm hoping to find one in the town where my school is in the Fall, then Spring I would prefer to move to Hamburg then work in H-burg, go to school near Allentown and still attend LOFT. The distance between both is half an hour! So, I'm praying it works out.
I'm still shaking off the idea I'm not "girlfriend material." The reason I say this is because most of my guy friends say I'm a "nice" girl or "nice" friend and don't want to "lead" me on. Most guys I meet are either on the verge of dating, dating, pinning after their ex-girlfriend, or not interested. period. Though one guy was a gentlemen about the whole thing and said I was an "amazing" girl, which is the most nicest thing a guy (besides my ex) has said to me.
I've decided to have an attitude of an guy. They never need a girl, love the life of being a bachelor and can go anywhere they like. They have no worries and are laid back. Life comes easily to them. Us ladies worry too much about being single and are scared we will never going to get married. You're going to think I'm melodramatic when I say this, but I don't think God wants me to marry. I feel like I have a romantically decline button guys push. I know you're saying "SHUT UP and get out of your PITY ME abyss" Guys are simple and live simple lives. Guys my age really don't care about marriage or even dating in general, so, I shouldn't either because I'm young (almost 20) I'm talking about Christian guys, not secular guys.
So the attitude of an guy:
1. Not care in general about the opposite sex romantically
2. Live life to the fullest
3. ignore the opposite sex's interest in you
4. Only think as them as a friend or sibling
that equals a good life. That's why guys are never the subject of heartache, bitterness, and tears in the movies. Because they do those things and that's what I want with my life because then life is easier. You have to admit guys do have it easier than us ladies. Guys can say no to a girl and don't cry when a girl tells them no. They just move on. If anyone can prove that a guy isn't like those things I've listed above, let me know!
Off to do finals and research paper. Talk to you all later!

"content"
hi!
I just realized that I'm very content with my life. Even though I don't have a boyfriend, it's okay I'm not 20 yet. Anyway, saw fast five with Stef and Jason on Sunday then played games with Ben, Sam, Stephen, Joseph, Jason, Travis, and Stef (for some strange reasons, we are the only ladies who play games) the guys played dominion while we were running late then Stef and I played phase ten with Ben and Sam, and as we were playing we heard Travis shout "gay train" which we laughed out loud because we had no idea what was going on. They were playing a game where they had to build train stations and routes for trains and the one card has a rainbow color in the background of a train though Stephen sarcastically said "whatever Jason picks up" which Jason didn't hear, lol. Guys amuse me.
Sadly Ben and Sam had to leave which they missed an awesome game: Stef introduced Killer Bunnies, which is fun and pretty easy except the card are a little hard to explain. Basically, the bunny has to get carrots but they we don't know what's the winning carrot. It was fun.
On my way home I realized I don't like the long drive and I have decided to find an apartment in the Hamburg/Kutztown/Bernville areas next Spring. I would like Hamburg for three reasons:
1. They have six billions places to work at (cabela's, mcds, dunkin, wal-mart, tacobell, and local stuff too)
2. It's between Bernville and Schnecksville (half an hour apart)
Now I'm just praying:
1. To find a job in Hamburg
2. Find an apartment for $500 or less
3. A roommate or two to share.
Or:
1. Find an apartment in Bernville/Kutztown/even Schnecksville
2. Find a job in those areas above
3. a roommate or two
I have a year to figure things out.
I have a keyboard placement test tonight. Praying it all goes well that I don't have to take five keyboard classes. I want either keyboard IV, V, or none of them!
Then I have a religion final which includes 100 plus 10 bonus answers and possibly some essays, but I only have an hour and a half to work on it because I have an exam for western civ though it's pretty short. I'm hoping an A because I have a 86% average in that class. I'm still ticked at my religion professor. Mostly because I tried to convince her to move it to Monday because of class. But such as life. Anyway, need to do dishes and study!
God Bless and love, Faith. <3
